Be Smart in English for Senior High Schools is a material enrichment book designed to develop student's comprehension skills in English both in oral or written ones. This book provides the learning materials in accordance with the 2013 school curriculum.

The activities in the book encourage the students to develop their competence as well as their discourse and cultural levels. The concept of materials leans toward students' daily life context and their interest and psychological characteristic, without abandoning the aspect of fun. By using scientific method (observation, questioning, exploration, experimenting, and assessing), hopefully it could encourage the students to develop their competence in using English as well as their discourse and cultural levels. There are many tasks to give the students standard exercises, individual project to improve individual skill and creativity in a certain subject, group project to familiarize the students in a scientific environment and social interaction, etc.

At the end of each unit, the students are expected to be able to apply their knowledge they got before by doing a unit review and also by practicing outside the class. Mid-semester and semester review are provided to measure the students' comprehension of the materials. Furthermore, they are also expected to be able to create various English types of text.
